kingsbridge heights community center garden

The Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) garden supplies organic vegetables and fruit to the children, tweens and teens who participate in the Head Start, summer and after school programs. The garden has six raised beds in which to grow all types of vegetables. Two compost bins complete the picture. The horticulture curriculum is geared to tie in school-based curriculum, mainly, health and nutrition, environmental issues, literacy, science, and history.
