Bon Secours Health System initiated Global Health Ministries in a deepening commitment to the healing Mission of Jesus. It is empowered by the growing global awareness of the health care needs of those most in need both near and far, the Sisters of Bon Secours and its strategic goal to help create a more humane world.
The initiative collaborates with local Bon Secours facilities and communities and with those in developing nations seeking mutual transformation and accountability. Sustainable efforts in Peru, Haiti and South Africa focus on the needs of women and children, health education and sharing of skills and resources. Immersion experiences assist Bon Secours volunteers to develop a deeper understanding and respect for those in need.
Recently, Bon Secours Health System joined a unique faith-based, governmental coalition in Peru to implement a three year, capacity-building program to reduce infant and child mortality. Watch our video to learn more.
